"very poor service"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

Anything else?

I had surgeryon my shoulderin January 2009 most of the surgery was a success apart from one section where I have had constant pain.I was referred back to the hospital in 2010 and was admitted for manipulation of my shoulder under anastetic. The surgeon came to my bed side pulled my arm and suggested that I was pretending to be in pain .He made me feel very humiliated I was sent home no further on. This year I was referred to Wythinshaw hospital.Examined had an ultra sound scan of my shoulder and lo and behold I have a big tear and am going in to wythinshaw to have it repaired.SoI thank the doctors at Stepping hi,l who made me feel so humiliated .

Thank you for sharing feedback of your experience with us. I am sorry to learn of the issues that arose whilst you were a patient at this hospital and I am very keen to investigate these matters further. However, before I am able to do so I will need you to provide me with some personal information so I am able to locate you on our Patient Administration System and commence the investigation. If this is something you would like to proceed with, please contact a member of the Patient and Customer Services Team directly on 0161 419 5678.

Many thanks once again,

Emma Harney,

Case Officer,

Patient & Customer Services.
