After feeling very unwell with a high temperature and unusual severe pain in my neck and photo phobia I was seen by an ambulance crew and transported to QMH Dunfermline.
Within minutes of being there I had been diagnosed and treated for Meningitis this was promptly confirmed from a ct scan wich showed swelling in the brain. After a few hours of constant tests and treatment I was transferred to the high dependancy unit where I received first class personal treatment.
The only downside was when I was transferred to Victoria Kirkcaldy due to a shortage of beds at Dunfermline causing unneccessary anxiety during my recovery.
