What could be improved
Staff reading records, entering accurate information, being up to date eg not withholding food & water all day for an operation that had been cancelled, premature attempts to discharge without a diagnosis (for the second time) extreme difficulty in getting accurate information from anyoine and progress seemingly only being made on a weekly basis - usually on a Friday when nothing can then happen for the weekend. With a couple of exceptions the service provided was very poor.
I am providing feedback on behalf of Mrs D I Phillips who during this admittance was in Felstead & latterly the Stroke ward for just over 4 weeks in total. The hos[ital was poor & dirty 30+ yeards ago, being newer it is now cleaner but the nursing care etc has not improved. Largely due it appears to low standards being seen as acceptable and no sense of urgency. Another example perhaps of the much publicised recent cases of it not beng worth whle trying to give elderly patients much attention?
