What I liked
Arrived at 1115 for an 1130 appointment for surgery on my foot and was greeted with a smile by reception and directed into the ward. A nurse immediately dealt with me and took details. Within a few minutes the surgeon arrived to administer anaesthetic and by 1200 I was heading towards theatre. The op took about 15 minutes and buy 1pm I was bandaged, given tea and biscuits and ready to leave. I have never experienced such slick service in the NHS. All the staff were superb and special mention must go the student nurse who was highly efficient and had a superb manner.
Congratulations to all concerned.
What could be improved
No real criticism but a lack of privacy meant we could hear conversations in adjoining cubicles including all the medical details of one patient as the surgeon was talking to her.
