What I liked

The staff on SAU and B5 were all excellent and I would especially like to mention the staff nurse and my nurse/support assistant who kept me informed and explained alot of the things that the doctors and some consultants didnt bother to!

What could be improved

There was a consultant who was very obnoxious, rude and abrupt. He didnt even introduce himself and when I challenged him about how he spoke to me he was dismissive. The looks on his teams faces were as if I'd made a mistake by standing up for myself. If I have the misfortune of coming back on to this ward I would not wish this consultant to come any where near me until he improved his people skills!

On the other hand I have nothing but praise for another consultant, he was the total opposite.

Anything else?

With only one shower room for men it is really difficult to get in.
