What I liked
Please see below.
Having failed to park, I rang the department to explain that I would be late as I would have to drive to Sainsbury's to park then walk across to the hospital. The person I spoke to very kindly came down to meet me and received the item of equipment.
What could be improved
Car parking for oversize vehicles
I had occasion recently to borrow a piece of equipment (I came on the bus that day - much easier, if time consuming) and return it the following morning. For my own convenience I chose to drive to the hospital. My 10 foot-high camper van (my only vehicle) won't fit in the shiny new multi-storey car park, so I went straight to the area at the back of the site near the maternity wing, only to find that what used to be open air public parking is now all staff parking. I did another complete circuit of the hospital site searching for open air public parking but failed to find any other than for disabled people.
Please give consideration to leaving a handful of public open air spaces for vehicles which won't fit in the multi-storey. I'm sure I am not the only person locally to have a large vehicle as their only vehicle.
"Staff were excellent. Parking facilities not..."
