"nightmare experience."

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

Whenever I have to visit this hospital it is an experience I regret. Information, not informative. Direction Signs appear to be installed for the benefit of those who already know the way.

Helpful volunteers who are patronisingly nice but not helpful.

Sent for a diagnosis, after two weeks they proudly tell me what I haven't got and send me back to GP who sent me.

Car parking very expensive.

They claim to have transport around the site. For someone who has difficulty walking wonderful idea. I have not met anyone who can tell me where or when or even if it will appear. But the assure me it's there.

Dignity seems non existent.

Having been required to remove my belt I hobble about holding my trousers up. I find a corner to sit and a staff member (by his uniform) sitting in a department wheelchair draws back the curtains leaving me open to public display and try's to chat and be casual.

On another occasion being sick after treatment I am sat in a corridor with a cardboard bowl at the mercy of every passing stranger in a gown who cares to ask if I am alright.

Far too much retail as you come in. The place is designed like a shopping mall.

Market stalls, Coffee shop, Restaurant, WH Smiths. Retail Therapy will not cure. Put it somewhere discreet for those who must shop.
