I was booked into an urgent care appointment for 5pm at Northwick Park hospital, after waiting 2 hours, I was finally seen at 7pm. I gave a urine sample and swab as requested and then was transferred to the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU). Here I waited another 2 hours before my blood press, heart rate and blood tests were conducted. At this stage the lack of communication was clear when I was asked to swab and provide urine again. I asked them to check the records and they traced it down. After another 3 hours later and I was told the bloods came back ok. I was released and told to come back at 8am for a scan. We arrived at 7:50 and checked in. At 9:45, I was asked to go to another room to have my blood pressure taken. It was at this point the doctor supposedly walked into the waiting room and called for me. CLEARLY, the nurses and doctors do not coordinate efforts, what about and the 4 useless receptions? it’s complete and utter shambles.
Now I have to wait for the doctor to complete “his rounds” to decide if I can do the ultrascan. Afterwhich I will have to wait for the ultrascan. Why didn’t the doctor check & approve when he saw me twice yesterday? Complete waste of my tax money!
