"Neurofibroma removal of small lump on lateral foot"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Plastic surgery

This has been a bemrulliant experience. I was called very soon after registering at reception. Having had many surgerys before I was very nervous but all staff were accommodating and friendly and went beyond duty to keep me company while waiting for my surgery slot. The surgery itself was general anaesthetic so the team talked to me until i fell asleep and were incredibly reassuring and cheerful and so professional. Even in the recovery room where i had an allergic reaction to some of the drugs guven to me the recivery nurses were very professonal and calm reasurring me that id be fine, while im having a major anaphalaptic shock. The staff on the ASU were all lovely and friendly although aome need to brush up on there medical conditions as some have never heard of what i have and i had to ecplain what it was. Iv just hadbmybstitches out and they couldnt find 4 so i have to cone back inn2 more weeks for more investigation, who cant find all the stitches ????

Dear Paige,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comment.

It is fantastic to hear about your recent experience with our Plastic Surgery services at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

It is especially great to hear about how accommodating and friendly the staff were during what can be a very nervous time.

We hope that you continue to recover well and the rest of your treatment follows your previous great experience with us.

Kind regards,

The Communications Team,

Leicester’s Hospitals
