"Can’t book pre booked appointments"

Tried booking an appointment but was told this was not possible and they don’t do pre booked appointments but then the receptionist stated a few are released on a Monday afternoon. The surgery expects you to phone at 8:30am in the morning to get a sane day appointment . Ringing the surgery in a morning is hell it can take 20 minutes constantly trying to get through. Due to modern way of life e.g school runs and work commitments this can be highly stressful. I don’t know an employer who would support an employee giving no notice for a doctors appointment that is not urgent.
