"Fairoak Rehab Ward"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital

After an operation at New Cross I was asked if I would go to Cannock for 'rehab'.

I could not have been transferred into better hands.

ALL the Ward Staff were friendly, knowledgable, diligent, supportive, caring and incredibly hard working.

Some of us do not heal as quick as others.

Some need support and help before they are safely able to return to their homes.

On this Ward you will find a variety of people with a wide range of needs.

What I experienced personally and saw with other patients there was consistent care, along with good humour when appropriate, and encouragement to progress/recover in a safe environment.

Cannock Hospital I know has a good reputation and we should be proud of our hospital.

Fairoaks, and the people who work on that Ward, I cannot praise or thank enough.

What they do is vital to some people going through recovery.

Surely this Ward, by giving patients a little time to get stronger, saves the NHS money in the long run. Many people know nothing of what goes on there until they need their help. I'm just grateful each and every one of the staff were there to help me.

BIG thank you
