I was in ward 18 to have knee replacement surgery on May 29 th 2018. I had the best hospital experience ever. I was in on Tuesday and out on Thursday. It went so well.
I found the staff polite, kind and very efficient, it is the most well run ward I have ever been on. I need my other knee doing as soon as possible and have no hesitations in returning.
Theatre staff too were excellent.I want to thank the surgeon who did my operation and his team, all nursing staff, physio and all remaining staff who run this ward so successfully.
I have reccomended this ward to everyone I speak to.
It is so good to feel a stable knee and be rid of all the horrid pain. Although it is early days and I still have post op pain I know this will subside as time goes by.
Family and I love our Bishop Auckland hospital and hope in these uncertain times we never lose it.
