I had a minor procedure on my foot at the treatment centre.
The next day I had concerns as I had lost movement and sensation in my toes, and as part of the consent I wasn't advised this would happen.
I called Mr Al-Rawi Secretary who was very helpful and put me through to the treatment centre. A nurse called me back and said Mr Al-Rawi who I had seen many times in clinic (but didn't do the procedure) would see me at 10am that day. This was great.
I went straight to the centre and a nurse called Val called me in, she was the most polite, compassionate and kind nurse I have EVER come across. She went through every think in detail with me, then Mr Al-Rawi came in and he was excellent also, re-assured me that it should be all ok, but I have his number if any problems and he will be in contact regarding my follow up. Val then went on to re-dress my wound.
I think sometimes we can be all guilty at looking at the bad, I know I have especially when I have had a bad experience, But this was just excellent care from the 1st call I made all the way through and for that I would like to thank Maxine, Val and Mr Al-Rawi.
