"My colonoscopy was better than a fab Saturday..."

I just had the best time... A real party atmosphere, Fit nurses, backdoor exploration, I got to watch the movie innerspace, have a full detox and singalong to disco tunes. It was way better than I anticipated...

Considering the procedure is pretty nerve wracking, the idea to play music is fabulous. The special colonoscopy playlist, though, is inspired.

They played... Bad moon rising, Let it go (whilst getting me to fart), tunnel of love, whole of the moon, ring of fire, moon river ... you get the picture.

Then i requested disco and even that was spot on. Staying Alive, Thats the way I Like it (whilst having anal probe) and I Will Survive (at first I was afraid, I was petrified...) 😂😂

Plus my colon is squeaky clean. I got two thumbs up from the nurses. Not literally, obviously.

The worst part was taking the moviprep drink the day before. Just imagine it's a colonic irrigation that you'd pay £100 for and you'll be fine. Best advice was to add lots and lots of lemon cordial. Tasted ok. Not Chateau Neuf du Pap, like, but passable... VERY passable. Give it two hours and you'll be a human version of the trevi fountain.

The procedure itself was carried out with professionalism and exemplary service, good tunes and good humour.

Even got to see the sights on the way round. "Oooh look, a sweetcorn"

I hope if ever you have to have a foot long tube up your bum that you too get to sing and dance the YMCA at the same time...
