About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

Anything else?

After being in labour for 4 days and stuck on the ante natal ward with no pain relief or a midwife coming to check on my progress was quit upsetting, I was a teenage mother and obviously very scared about the whole experience. After being admited on wedensday being 3cm diluated, then a few hours later 4, i though that the midwife would have sped up the labour by breaking the water or placing me on a drip. None of which was done until the saturday and when i was being taken upstairs the midwife asked if i would like to wait until monday to be induced? I've been in labour since since Tuesday, came to hospital on Wedensday, its now Saturday, would you wait another 2 painful days? My babys heart beat later began to drop whilst i was in labour and finally given the correct treatement, however no doctor was around as all the drs were busy!

Not a nice thing to know! When i was admitted during my pregnancy there was blood all over the toilet seat and floor, when i asked if someone would clean it the nurse replied cleaners were not suppose to clean up blood. What a laugh! I would not have another baby at queen charlottes, i think there very discrimanitive against young mums and the receptionsists are very rude!
