"Skill, care and kindness made difficult..."

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

What I liked

My four year old daughter was treated between March and October this year in the ENT department and had two operations in June and August. Each department we had cause to visit treated her with kindness and compassion and understanding.

The consultant, did everything they could to make sure that we understood what was being done to diagnose her, which referrals were being made and exactly what to expect from her surgery. They were accessible when we needed to talk to them and explained everything thoroughly.

Nightingale ward were exceptional in their kindness and perceptiveness and both times made a difficult experience much easier. I cannot thank them enough.

What could be improved

I cannot think of any aspect of our experience that could have been improved.

Thank you for your kind comments and for taking the time to share them. It is always pleasing to hear about positive experiences. I hope you daughter is recovering well after her operations. With kind regards Sarah Turner-Saint, Head of Communications
