"Online appointments don't work"

About: Emersons Green Medical Centre

As I can never get through on the phone, I went to the effort of signing up for the online booking scheme. However, I tried to book an appointment online, and it is not possible. It just keeps saying 'Sorry, your practice does not currently have any appointment slots that can be booked online'.

What's the point in advertising this if it is not an available service?

When you can eventually get an appointment, the nurses and doctors are wonderful, and cannot be faulted.

Thank you for leaving your comments on NHS Choices. Our phone lines are extremely busy at present and we do endeavour to answer all calls within a matter of rings. However as you can imagine not all our calls are to book appointments and we like to offer our patients the same priority and with this is mind some calls take longer than others. The reason behind the appointments not being fully up to date, as at the end of April we changed our appointment types and we are now reviewing this and trying to ascertain what things need to change. This will be happening next week and more appointments will be added. Our surgeries priority is to offer an excellent service to our patient, however sometimes we need to slow processes down to review changes and make the patient experience a better one.
