My mother has been and is currently being treated in Ward B3 of Whipps Cross Hospital. Since her admission, despite this being a very busy ward, she has received excellent care and very attentive medical intervention.
The staff all appear happy in their work and I have personally witnessed how dedicated and caring they are. Opposite my mothers bed is a couple of dementia patients. I have watched as various members of staff take the time to sit with these patients, slowly explaining things to them, reassuring them and generally nursing them.
My mother was a nurse for all of her adult life until she retired some years ago and obviously understands the pressures and time restraints involved in nursing, but has complimented all the staff on this ward for their consistent care and attention to detail.
We as a family would like to express our sincere thanks to all the staff of B3 for looking after and caring for our mother in a kind, compassionate and caring manner.
She was initially admitted with pneumonia, but received the necessary scans and investigations to ascertain a leaking hearth valve to be the cause and is successfully being treated currently.
