"Outstanding care at the Breast Clinic"

This is the highest quality care and treatment that I have received from the NHS.

Following a diagnosis of breast cancer after a recall from my routine mammogram, I was referred to the QEII breast unit for treatment.

The tumour was removed two months after my mammogram recall appointment. I could not believe how quickly it was all dealt with and I was given a clear indication of what future treatment was required.

I have been treated with dignity and respect by all staff at the clinic and they have patiently answered all my questions and dealt with my worries. They have made me feel confident that i will have a positive long term outcome.

My consultant and her registrar are both inspirational doctors who make you feel as if you really matter.

Whenever I see a doctor, the specialist breast nurse then goes through the information once more and in greater detail. This is an excellent system at a time when it is not always possible to take everything in.

When I rang to ask if it would be possible for a nurse to look at my wound, I received a return phone within an hour and was given an appointment that afternoon.
