"NHS at its best!"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

What I liked

My dear friend Roger Casson was treated over a period of a fortnight in August/September 2011 in May Ward, from diagnosis to death due to pancreatic cancer. He was treated with great care and consideration at all times, and as his acting next of kin I was fully informed and involved in decision-making. The medical team, nursing staff, ward assistants and McMillan Nurses all responded with compassion and sensitivity, doing everything they could to make his final weeks as comfortable and pain free as possible. They were a real model team for end of life care.
