I got an emergency appointment with a doctor when almost at the point of suicide because of pain and the disruption of my life caused by a constantly seriously painful shoulder.
I was not examined and was told that I would be given an appointment for a steroid injection.
I asked for a diagnosis and was treated to a shrug of the shoulders and "a touch of arthritis?"
I received an appointment for an injection some 4 weeks later, this was cancelled and replaced with one two months after that.
I paid for an appointment with a Nuffield health GP.
at which I was, after an examination, told that I had bursitis and prescribed cold packs and physio.
This more or less cured the problem in two weeks.
