After weeks of trying to obtain some support from CMHT in regards to my mental health crisis and trying to chase up a referral to social services from CMHT due to physical illness and disabilities and i have been lied to ignored messed about and let down. Four days agothe cmht knew that I had taken a overdose and I was told a senior staff member would be calling me back. This is after I had spent the entire day trying to get to speak to somebody about my state of mind and poor health and kept being told nobody was avilable to talk to me. This went on all day and I finally said to the receptionist that it was nearing the end of the day and I had taken an overdose and still nobody had called me back and that it was very urgent and I would remain on hold til somebody could talk to me to which I was told that they were hanging up on me. Something that happens alot. Finally I recieved a call and some man aburptly said "I've been ordered to call you, you have 5 mintues to talk". He did not intodruce himself or ask if he was speaking to me by name. I explained that I had overdosed and that I was still waiting for staff to do varies things they said they would like chasing up referal to social services and sending support workers to visit me because I was physically unable to care for myself due to illness and disabilities and my living conditions were dire and this was making me feel suicidal. The man was unhelpful uninterested and even laughed inappropriately during the call. I was told a senior would call me back as he had to go. I continued to chase up the senior as 5pm was approaching and even emailed the duty team and service manager covering the situation I was experiencing.
By 6pm I had not recieved a call back and fell unconscious due to the overdose I had taken.I remained unconscious for many hours and spent the entire following day being sick and bearly able to stay awake due to extreme drowsiness from the morphine overdose.
Along with suffering this i was still unable to care for myself due to illness and disabilty leaving me in a very bad state. Not having any food for over a week and no means to obtain any and unable to shower myself and clean myself due to disabilities. The current living conditions and my ability to carry out very basic daily functions are not possible but iam still waiting for CMHT to chase up their referral to social services and I highly doubt they have even followed through and done the referral in the first place. It is now Four days since my overdose and the CMHT telling me they would get duty team and a senior to call me back and I still have not heard from them at all. I could be dead in this house from that overdose that CMHT knew about. I certainly am still unwell from the damage it has done along with everything else and iam still unstable and suicidal. I feel the four days that have past and all the things the CMHT are suppose to be sorting out and doing and being left isolated in this state is unacceptable
"Overdose ignored by CMHT and Left unconscious"
