"Experience in Royal Surrey's Maternity Ward"

Throughout my ante- and post-natal care for my first baby I have been throughly impressed by the Maternity Ward at Royal Surrey.

The midwives were absolutely fantastic and were extremely professional, caring and attentive. Despite being a very busy ward I was made to feel as though I was the only patient and cannot thank them enough for helping me get through a tough and painful labour.

I felt the midwifery team was highly organised, as evidenced by the fact that every time there was a handover the transition was seamless and the new midwife was fully up to date with my situation.

I had a c-section and whilst this was unplanned and I was quite nervous, I was thoroughly impressed with the surgery team and the speed and efficiency of the operation.

I stayed in the Shere Ward for 2 nights and had a really enjoyable experience. The food was lovely and the accommodation was comfortable, and I’m sure it helped my recovery.

Being relatively new to the Surrey area (having moved here only 7 months ago) and not knowing what the hospital would be like, I can safely say that my experience at Royal Surrey Maternity Ward was amazing and I have no hesitation in recommending it to my family and friends.
