"Very caring and considerate staff excellent..."

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

What I liked

My 8 year old daughter had two teeth removed under general anaesthetic. The staff were fantastic with her and very sympathetic to a nervous child trying to be brave. All the treatment was explained very clearly to us and we were given the opportunity to ask questions without sounding silly.

She was quickly treated and home by 1pm which was great.

The ward was great well set up for children with pretty paintings of mermaids in the bathroom as well as a bravery certificate and teeth to take home.

The parents coffee room on the ward was a welcomed quiet area to relax in whilst waiting for her to come out of surgery.

What could be improved

I couldn't be with her in the recovery room which I was hoping I could be there when she woke up.
