"Nothing short of excellent."

What I liked

I have recently had two short spells in Torbay hospital staying in both the George Earle and Forrest wards under the care of two consultants and in both instances I received a level of care that was nothing short of outstanding.

In the recent past I have had the doubtful pleasure of being treated in two southern European hospitals in both Spain and Italy and although the care was excellent it by no means even came close to the exceptional standards of Torbay hospital.

Torbay hospital is a credit to everybody that works within it and the staff retain a wonderfully positive and cheerful attitude under, what must be at times, extremely difficult and trying circumstances.

I feel fortunate and privileged to live in an area where I can receive ongoing treatment from a hospital that has such a commendable standard, and I cannot pay tribute to the staff enough. We hear so much criticism of the NHS in the media and from politicians and never hear enough about what a fantastic institution it truly is, it is, as it should be, the envy of the world and hopefully, will always remain so.

What could be improved

Nothing, it is a superb hospital and all the staff were excellent.
