What I liked

From the moment I entered the hospital, I felt I was in a caring and professional environment.

Signposting to the Ultrasound department was good.

What could be improved

Nothing - great service.

Anything else?

I was nervous before my ultrasound scan appointment but the sonographer who examined me was caring, professional and had the time to explain fully what was happening throughout. I felt very reassured and could not fault the service I received.

I hear much of the reduced budgets but increased performance that NHS services are challenged with and have wondered how it is possible to deliver a good service? At St Albans City Hospital, I have seen with my very eyes that it is through having the right individuals in the right teams who really care about what they do.
