"Thank you for great care"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 6) University Hospital Hairmyres / Care of the Elderly (Wards 13-16) University Hospital Hairmyres / Radiology

(as a relative),

My dad was admitted to Hairmyres hosp in May via ambulance. The doctor in resus who attended to him along with a lovely nurse were so caring and friendly. He then was taken to ct for a brain scan where all the radiographers we came across were very professional and there was no time wasted in him getting his scan done. He was then taken up to the stroke ward and is at present in the care of the elderly ward to which all the staff have been wonderful to him. thank you Hairmyres for your great care of my dad.

Dear Anon 123,

Many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on your dads recent experience at University Hospital Hairmyres. I am pleased that his experience has been positive and that his CT scan was performed quickly by Radiographers that were both professional and friendly. It is always nice to receive positive feedback and I will pass your kind comments onto staff.

I hope your dad is making good progress and will be able to return home in the near future.

Best Wishes

Elaine

Dear ANON 123,

Thank you for your kind reflections on the service provided here at University Hospital Hairmyres. It can be a frightening experience when our loved ones are admitted under emergency situations.

I'm delighted you found the services working in harmony to diagnose and treat your Dad.

I'll be sharing your kind thoughts with our Stroke team and can see Elaine from Radiology has already responded too.

I wish your Dad a speedy recovery,

Kind regards

Gwen

Dear ANON 123,

Thank you for sharing your feedback on CareOpinion. I am sorry to hear that your dad had to be taken to Hairmyres. Please send him our well wishes. Being admitted to hospital is scary enough for all involved, family and friends included. But to be taken into a Resus unit and onto a Stroke unit must have been very difficult for you and your father.

I am glad to read that everyone has cared for your father well in his time of need and I hope that the ambulance crew provided you with a similar service.

I wish you and your father all the best.

Kind Regards

Alan
