"Awful until you got through to the doctors."

About: St Helier Hospital

What I liked

The Accident and Emergency doctors were professional and caring.

What could be improved

The Accident and Emergency reception staff were cold, unfriendly, uncommunicative and basically could not have cared less. There was no indication of waiting times, or what would happen to you next until you saw the doctors.

Thank you for letting us know what you thought about your care at St Helier Hospital A&E.

We are pleased to hear your feedback about the doctors in the A&E department and have passed this on to them. They will be pleased.

We can only apologise if you felt the reception staff were unhelpful and have passed your comments directly to their manager. Obviously, this is not the standard of service we would expect.

The reception staff - as well as triage nurse (the clinician who you would have seen first) - should have given you feedback about how long you would have to wait and what would happy in between. Again, we have raised this with the A&E team.

Thank you again for your feedback.
