I was diagnosed with hairy cell leukemia 12 months ago. This is why I want to tell my story. After having a weeks worth of chemo, I was admitted onto the Chemo ward with a nasty rash & was put on 24 hr watch. The staff on ward 24 are absolute angels and Dr Lam is my hero.
12 months on my counts are now high again and staying positive and doing as I was told got me through it all.
Angels and heroes are very rare in this world. But we are so fortunate to have them in the Chemo ward at Barnsley Hospital.
