"Receptionist sat and read others details out"

I was waiting for an app and listened to the receptionist read aloud in front of the waiting room addresses with names and when their app is. I can tell you at least three peoples full names and addresses and when their app will be and which doctor they are seeing. Scares me that she is aloud to read aloud personal information in front of strangers. Is it not possible to get the person on the other side of the phone to confirm personal details. Surely with this is a massive breech of security!
