What I liked
The staff involved in administering my radiotherapy treatment in the oncology department cannot be praised too highly. From the Consultant and his fellow doctors to the nurses who carried out the actual treatment I was treated with kindness, consideration and sympathy at all times..
The waiting area was reasonably comfortable and more often than not appointments were
on time.
One final comment, unusually for hospitals, we had absolutely no problem parking on our visits, the small car park near the oncology department entrance always had spaces.
Well done Southampton ! the 27 treatments were not as traumatic as we feared.
What could be improved
Perhaps the side effects of drugs (painkillers etc.,)could have been described a little more fully.
"A difficult time was made as pleasant as possible..."
