What I liked
I was treated very well and all the tests and examinations were carried out in professional manor.
What could be improved
1. I was put in the AAU block this does not appear on your hospital plan (from web site).
2. My wife does not drive and arrived by bus and had problem finding where I was. The main entrance is not sign posted and asking people who had NHS badges were not aware of the location of the AAU ward.
3. Unable to find a taxi rank or pick up point when coming away from the AAU (Acute Assessment Unit)

My initial treatment some 4 years ago was carried out at the QEII WGC, 5 miles down the road. If a life is at risk then the closer the Hspital the better.
A good reason to keep the A&E and cardiac units at the QEII if patient care is really a priority.
I was at the hospital about 5 hours before the decision to keep me in over night was made, not a place to go if you are in a hurry to get home but is a problem when using public transport.
"I was satified with the treatment I received and..."
