Most of the GP's are excellent however one is not very good at all.
It's the same with the reception team - most are lovely but one is really very rude and unhelpful.
The problem is the same problem seen at many surgeries these days, getting through on the phone is a challenge and getting an appointment as a working person is a nightmare.
I am also a carer, I don't feel supported at all and have been reduced to tears on more than one occasion trying to get an appointment for my husband.
Patients are not an inconvenience and should not be made to feel like one.
Continuity of care is also very poor, sometimes you can not see the same GP for a follow up appointment no matter what.
Appointments run very late and I don't find it acceptable to be left waiting so long every single time.
If the problem is that the practice can't recruit enough GP's for it's growing list size they should consider creating a more diverse staff base such as recruiting prescribing nurses.
They could also be more proactive with supporting people to improve their over all health such as support for people with mental health, weight loss and support for carers to reduce the long term burden on GP's.
The practice is good but it should strive to be better, to be a little more outstanding.
"A good surgery but some areas could be improved..."
