What I liked

The care and services in the maternity department were beyond excellent. I was transferred to Bishop Hospital when Durham Hospital's maternity ward closed due to it being full. I'm so pleased I was lucky enough to be one of the ones turned away from Durham as I would never have been able to experience the one to one care and water birth that I had always wanted.

The staff were relaxed, the ward was clean and my husband was able to stay with me until we were all able to leave as a family the next day.

Please keep this facility going, I'll be needing it again sometime in the future!!
