The reason of this complaint is that my wife was in a great deal of pain, she hadnt had much sleep that night so when she managed to get herself mobile she went down stairs to get to the phone while she was downstairs she thought about taking another pain killer as the pain was hurting so much (she hadnt experienced this situation for a very long time) but she thought to be on the safe side she will phone the doctor and ask there advice as she is on so much medication as it is. so she phoned the reception and asked to speak to a doctor to get advise but was told by the receptionist the doctors are all too busy and there are too many sick people up here. This made my wife feel very angry and hurt the receptionist told my wife to phone the pharmacist, when she spoke to the pharmacist he was very discussded at the remarks given my wife. My wife was very tearfull when i got home from work i was so angry if i had come up the surgery i probably would have said something way out of line and very unprofessional your reception staff certainly dont work in a professional manner i feel its an outrage that we have to be treated in this way. i certainly think your staff should be put on a behaviour course to learn how to speak to there patients. they certainly have no people skills.

I understand that our Team Leader listened to the telephone call in question and contacted you regarding your complaint.

I have been advised that you do not wish to make a formal complaint.
