"Felt not listened to and dismissed - not a good..."

About: Campus for Ageing and Vitality

Felt like the consultant knew without listening to me what my issue was. Barely began to explain my problems before he said migraine and proceeded to dismiss every point I raised as migraine. I asked about weird shaky eyeballs I get. Migraine does that. I asked about the lengthy spells of being off balance / vertigo etc - migraine. When I queried could it be IIH or orthostatic hypertension. Contributing to my often sudden like a spade to the head horrific pressure filled explosive headaches at the base of my skull which can be triggered by standing up or intensified by bending or coughing or crying, make pulsing whooshing fluidy sounds in m head andy ears and cause greyed out areas of vision in one eye, , I was told no as I'm not obese. I explained I had been admitted the week previously and a lumbar puncture done during which they took an extra tube in case he wanted it for any reason. I also tried to explain the difference I feel that the LP made to my headache but this was dismissed also. When I also tried to query how unstable my neck feels and autonomic dysfunction / possible POTS issues which precede these horrific head ache attacks this was attributed to anxiety. Having had one issue attributed to stress etc for years and finding out last week I actually have a blood vessel touching a nerve in my brain (which I asked about and he also didn't clarify)I find it very difficult to be labelled as anxious when trying to advocate for my own health. Consequently,

At this point

I shut down and withdrew from the appointment. Despite having many other questions I feel like whatever I asked would be been attributed to migraine.

I had a brief examination of my eyes, knee and elbow reflexes, touched my nose with my eyes shut and open and told to get info from where I've had other tests or neurological appointments etc and see him again.

So now I am submitting access to medical info requests as he had no access to the raft of other medical info I've had done, and my GPS referral also seemingly neglected many other neurological issues I have had in recent years.
