"Cannot get an appointment"

My son who works 6am-2pm has been trying for 3 weeks to make an appointment, as at work finds it hard to stay on hold whilst someone deems to answer the phone, I rang for him yesterday morning was on at 8am, rang told me I was first in que listening to music, reception answer no appointment only two doctors on today, would you like to go to broom lane surgery tomorrow at 11-35am, so my some goes finished work early, they can’t prescribe anything or refure anywhere as not your doctor, why send him there, ridiculous waste of time

Can I reassure all patients that the Hubs can and do prescribe and refer patients where appropriate; this is a vital part of their day to day work.
