"No named consultant on Choose-and-Book"

What could be improved

Choose-and-Book for rheumatology consultants is not very much Choose-and-Book due to no named consultants listed, it only says 'rheumatology services' which does not instill any sense of patient choice when guidance on Choose-and-Book clearly states that Choose-and-Book allows patients to choose their consultant and sate and time of appointment.

This should be amended as soon as possible as it is not giving patients more choice than the old system.

Patients will have no idea who they will be seeing if they go to this hospital and this is never a good thing for instilling confidence as I have experienced already and it does not give any good impressions and I would not recommend due to this and would go somewhere else that does offer me a consultant choice via Choose-and-Book.

Another thing about this is that patients will not be seeing who they wish to see and who is appropriate for their problem.

Anything else?

If your hospital is a 'centre of excellence' then please set an example and help patients have more freedom and say in the services they receive by allowing them to see a consultant of their choice.
