"Treatment we received"

About: Darent Valley Hospital / Accident and emergency South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My grandson, my guide dog and I were brought to the hospital by ambulance after a car accident in which the car was written off. The ambulance men were DJ( I think he said his name was) and his colleague and they were wonderful with the nearly 4 year old and me. They even took my traumatised dog to find an urgently needed patch of grass before we took our places in the queue. We only waited about 10 minutes before my grandson was seen. After he had been checked over we were placed in a quieter area than the waiting room to wait to see the Doctor. I was given a cup of tea, my grandson some juice and a colouring book and a bowl of water for my dog. Thank you very much indeed for the wonderful service on an extremely busy evening when people were being warned there was a 4 and half hour wait. We did wait a long time to see the Doctor but were very impressed with the staff and the care we were shown and given. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for your kind words regarding the crew who attended to you, your grandson and your guide dog. I hope that you are all recovering well from your ordeal.

I would like to pass thorough your comments to the crew directly and wonder whether you would be willing to send a quick email to pet@secamb.nhs.uk to confirm the date and time and address to where the ambulance was called to enable me to be able to do this.

Once again thank you for your kind words, I wish you all a speedy recovery.
