"Dr lack of knowledge in baby care"

About: Binfield Surgery

I had to take my baby for a check up and I was recommended a Dr -twice in the last 6 months, I was told they have good experience with babies. Very disappointing though each time...this 'doctor' doesn't know how to hold a newborn or give any fundamental advice to new mums. My baby would wake up every 2h or so during night- their siggestion was to stop breastfeeding at 7 months old or stop giving milk at all as babies don't need it anymore once they are on solids. My baby is consistently scratching her years- the dr replied saying is nothing only a habit without checking inside her ears for any infection or checking for teething signs. I've asked if I can possibly check her anaemia and I was told that they cannot take blood from babies to check that. There was lack of interes from them in my little baby. They could at least look at her not giving me some stupid comments, to show that they've got some knowledge in what they do and they're there to help not to fill up a position.I feel sorry that I bodered myself going there.

We are sorry that you feel the way you do following the appointment with your baby. As this is an anonymous forum we are unaware who has made the comment, but we would be more than happy to investigate more deeply if we have the patient information. Should you wish to contact the surgery directly, please do so.
