"Ward 233"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

This being our uncles 2nd visit to Ward 233, we all had great concerns from his last visit.

When he was left on the toilet for over 1 hour, he could never get hold of nurses during busy periods, the ward smelt like incontinence,

This time the staff are trying to help but yet again over worked, Our uncle was left to mess him self after asking to use the toilet, the ward was very unclean with plastic bits on the floor and blood like spillages, no one can seem to give you answers to your question, in fact during our last visit to see our uncle we watched as a nurse kicked what looked like an empty plastic case under one of the beds. All very poor seems the staff have not the time to care.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback around your experience of your Uncle's care. I am sincerely sorry to read your comments. I would be very grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01782 676450 to provide additional details and allow us to look into this further.

With best wishes

Rebecca Pilling, Quality Improvement Facilitator: Patient Experience.
