i was induced on the 28/02/2017 i was 3 cm dilated when the night nurse can to check me and she broke my waters, this was around 03.00am i was basically left struggling in pain untill i screamed for someone to come check me this was at 07:00am ish and i was 6 cm dilated, they gave me no pain relief i was promised paracetamol and was not given any... they said they thought the cord was wrapped around my babies neck yet no extra checks were made and i was still having to sit in the ward with no pain relief... once the nurse checked me over she wheeled me over to the labour ward where i was basically left with a nurse who was going through paper work i had no support from the midwife at all.... i asked for an epidural that took a couple of hours and when the anesthetist came in it was too late i was fully dilated, after hours of pushing i could no longer do it and my baby's heart rate dropped so i had to be rushed to have an emergency c section. aftercare was terrible was given mo pain relief to help with me getting out of bed for the first time, there was a lovely nurse who gave me oral morph to help but she couldn't care for me as she had other things to do !! couple of night in my infection markers went up too 300 odd and i had sepsis not only that i also caught ecoli from the hospital either from the food or the dirty shower in there ! i was in hospital for 5 days and i was sent home on the 5th day when i shouldn't of been sent home as my markers were still too high - i needed to take iron tablets also as i lost alot of blood but they dis charged me without giving me any iron tablets so i also became anemic - i was back to the hospital about 4 weeks after and was told that i had to have an external examination as they should have done that before i left just to make sure there was nothing left inside me as my placenta broke - this was my 1st baby and was the worst experience even with MK hospital i understand that they are busy but more care needs to be taken when it comes to your patients as i feel i was just left to scream in pain and no real care given
