What I liked
I recommend the maternity services, including the antenatal services.
During and after my 1st delivery I experienced complications - so I expected a rather difficult 2nd delivery.
Instead, things went completely straightforward - thanks to the excellent way the midlives helped me through the last stages of labour and the post-delivery hours.
I arrived late and in heavy pain and delivered within an hour while my baby was perfectly fine. The midwife encouraged and supported me in an excellent way and it seemed that she knew exactly what to do best in all situations so that the delivery was fully natural and without any issues.
I was discharged the next day and felt cared for and supported all time.
The wards are clean and the staff is friendly and supportive; I felt taken serious and treated with respect all times inc the ante-natal care. Also, the wards were very quiet by the time I was there which was very relaxing after the delivery for me and the baby.
What could be improved
Some hospitals in Central London offer day nurseries/creches for older children to people who are booked in for treatment with the services to be paid by the parents. Think about introducing some service like this at PAH; we had organised a babysitter, but had to leave our older child with friends in the neighborhood - otherwise, I wouldn't have made it to the ward.
"Definitely recommend the maternity services and..."
