"Mental health (CBT)"

About: Homerton University Hospital

(as a friend),

My boyfriend has waited six months for CBT via doctor referral. Eventually got invited to an introduction session, and on arrival was shocked to find it was a group induction not a one to one. Staff made inappropriate comments about people using the time they are waiting to get to a more stable place. He was then given a card inviting him back for his first appointment 4 months later. He took the day off work for this. I was disgusted they could treat people with mental health concerns this way.

We are sorry to hear that your boyfriend had long wait and then a bad experience. If you would like to get in touch with us by contacting our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) service on tel. 020 8510 7315, or text 07584445400, or email huh-tr.PALS.Service@nhs.net we will help to find out which service was involved to pass your feedback onto them, as our staff do not provide CBT.
