"The quality of care I recieved on the Coronary..."

About: James Paget University Hospital

What I liked

I was admitted as an emergency to the Coronary Care Unit from the chest pain clinic. I was very kindly treated by all staff who always explained exactly what was happening to me and why certain treatments were being given. I thought that all the staff were cheerful, friendly, respectful and very caring. They were all so hard working and conscientious at all times. I was amazed how quickly I was dealt with, being moved to Norwich the following day and undergoing angioplasty the day after that. The ward was spotlessly clean and the food mainly good. I would never have any concerns about the quality of care I would receive should I have to be admiited to that unit again.

What could be improved

I would have prefered to have been treated in a single sex ward, but understand that, in such a small area, with just about all admissions being emergency, this is just not possible.
