What I liked

Friendly doctors and nurses who understood my concerns about my prostate cancer.

Radiotherapy staff very supportive and ultra efficient.

What could be improved

Confusing that daily appointments changed by the day but they have so many patients to cope with. Strange that appointments are organised from Maidstone.

Anything else?

I was very lucky to be referred to oncology at Canterbury. Very lucky indeed!

Thank you for your feedback, I am really pleased that you had a positive experience and that our doctors, nurses and clinical support staff were friendly and helpful – this is especially important for patients concerned about the diagnosis of cancer and ongoing treatment options.

Here at East Kent Hospitals we work in collaboration with the Kent Oncology Centre at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, they support us with making arrangements for out patient appointments with Oncologists and radiotherapy treatment – this model works particularly well as we are able to share expertise and specialist knowledge. We provide a wide range of other cancers services with all out patient and day case chemotherapy arranged and administered locally.
