"Trying to get repeat prescriptions"

About: Brookhouse Medical Centre

The surgery has a dedicated tel number, I have tried for over 70 minutes to get through, either constantly engaged or no one answers the phone. I then called reception who stated just have to keep trying as the person on prescriptions is very busy. After hearing how long I have been trying disappointingly there was no offer to ask them to call me back or a way to order my prescription for today.

With only 30 mins left until prescription ordering line closes I am not hopeful! I have been constantly trying!

Why is there no queue system for scripts, surely that would help?

Isn't there is a better way? Really not impressed!

I called the pharmacist who was very helpful and they stated they are not able to request repeat prescriptions on my behalf as the surgery will not allow this! I thought EPS was supposed to make this process easier not more time consuming.?!?

BMC - please kindly review this laborious process out! Think about me as the patient as at the moment it most definitely is not!

We have a dedicated phone line for the ordering of repeat medications to help patients.

This is a direct number and therefore unfortunately a queuing system is not possible.

If you do have access to the online service provided by the Practice you are able to order your repeat medications online.

Unfortunately with the pharmacies ordering many medications were being wasted and to help patients control their own medications this system has now ceased and will not be active again.

If you would like to discuss this further please make an appointment to see our customer liaison officer who will be happy to discuss any concerns in detail.

Thank you
