"What is going on at Stoke Mandeville?"

(as a relative),

My 91 yr old mil was admitted to Stoke Mandeville A & E in mid-February with a suspected broken ankle. She had been in respite care.

After 24+ hrs she was admitted to Trauma 2 & stayed for approx 5werks before being sent to Chartridge at Amersham.

Last week l she was readmitted to Stoke A & E with a suspected pulmonary embolism.

After an overnight stay, without notifying Amersham she was sent back.

Amersham had been advised on the day she was admitted that she would not be returning!

Today I’ve just had a phone call from Stoke trying to arrange an OPD appt to check on her ankle because they didn’t have a forwarding address for her.

What the hell is going on?
