Had glomus tumour and I cannot fault my surgeon.
Adenbrookes staff where all and still are great staff
Do a fantastic job under the pressures of the nhs . Had my op back in 2012
I can remember the surgeon was very excited he said about doing this operation because it's a rear tumour . Had operation took 7 hours roughly . The surgeon came in after op to see me once I settled in to room etc . Really cannot fault this man he is brilliant man. I was very scared when he told me what I had but he went though it all with me and took his time so I understood it .
Anyway had my op the scare I have is behind the ear going up on side of head cannot hardly see it now which is great , the scare isn't big I thought it was going to huge .
Fantastic job Thankyou.
After operation I had op on a Wednesday I came home on Friday
The after care which I still receive is great I have to have scans etc and chats to see if I'm still ok .
Also when I was in there I mentioned that I suffer from dizziness which they started treatment on straight away that day which was great
It turned out that I have menisire disease of the inner ear they were brilliant with treatment for that as well .
I'm still attending addenbrookes but now it's got to seeing them every 2 years with scans every 3 years I was told by the surgeon that it will be a lifetime appointment so to speak
It will just get longer in between appointments 3 years and then 5 years if all is ok with scans results .
To be honest addenbrookes saved my life so a big THANKYOU to all the team who was involved in looking after me before and after operation THANKYOU
CAn I just say people who say the nhs is rubbish please don't knock it you never know some day you might need it .i for one wouldn't be here without it
100% satified with the service.
