"Terrible"

So I managed to get an appointment today but only with the locum doctor. After 20mins past my appointment time I was called in.

I had given the gp a list of problems I had (after being asked to return if these problems persisted) which included... painful lumps on legs, weight loss, night sweats, swollen lymph nodes, pain in neck getting worse (I suffer hypothyroidism) etc etc he promptly said ‘I must tell you this appointment is for only one problem on the list’!

The doctor completely dismissed my concern and worry... he sat there and, I quote word for word, said “what would you like me to do for you?” obvious being to help me find out what is wrong.

After numerous appointments at this surgery with the gps keep telling me to “come back in two weeks if the problems persist” or “take some painkillers” I got quite emotional to his response and attitude. He did not even look at the 10 painful lumps on my legs or feel my palpable lymph node or ask me about weight loss or when my night sweats are happening!!!! Only made me feel I was making it all up. I left in tears and not once did he offer a tissue (I got myself a hand towel to dry my eyes).

The doctors that are now at this surgery are not very considerate in my experience and always remind you that you only have 10mins. I will be leaving this surgery after todays experience and would not recommend.
